Who Am I?
Words can’t define, and actions sometimes fall short,
Of defining who I am, and showing my worth.
A human being, who has a past.
A person, who sometimes goes too fast.
A sinner, whose wall may sometimes lean.
A child of God, who, by his blood, has been redeemed.
Good, bad, ugly, beautiful.
Right, wrong, pointless, meaningful.
Ups, downs, falls, lifts.
Left, right, movements, shifts.
I’m not perfect, nor do I strive to be.
I aim to improve, and become who God wants me to be.
At this point, I might not be so sure.
But I know when the time is right, God will open the door.
I get angry, sad, and disappointed.
I sometimes say words, that I don’t mean, when I’m frustrated.
I can be unfair, mean, and self focused.
I do have a major problem regarding where to place my trust.
But despite all my shortcomings, I am a wonderful being.
I am kind, helpful, and giving.
I try my best to understand, and actually listen.
I’m friendly, and love to talk about random things.
I enjoy reading, and I love to sing.
I’m not always easy to understand and comprehend.
Not even I am able to follow all the thoughts that run through my head.
But one thing is for sure, and will always be.
I’m God’s child, and He’s always working on me.
My bad habits and shortcomings are constantly being worked on.
I honestly hate when I’m wearing a frown.
My heart gets heavy when I’ve upset someone.
And I’m the first to try and fix things when they go wrong.
I quickly admit my mistakes.
And I try to not ever be fake.
I love everyone, and I am over-caring.
But I have my limits, for those who can be overbearing. 😉
Words can’t define, and actions sometimes fall short,
Of defining who I am, and showing my worth.
A human being, who has a past.
A person, who sometimes goes too fast.
A sinner, whose wall may sometimes lean.
A child of God who, by his blood, has been redeemed.
I am who I am.
