The best restaurants in San Pedro will differ depending on who you ask. However, I’ve compiled a list of my personal favorites after visiting the island and trying several different places. I went to a few spots that are regarded as top notch when it comes to food, and I had very disappointing experiences. Keep on reading if you would like to learn more about the restaurants and cafes in San Pedro that impressed me in some way.
Gill E’s Pour House
I had one of the best breakfasts that I have ever eaten at Gill E’s Pour House in San Pedro. Every bite of food was filled with flavor. The food portion was sizeable and I struggled to finish it (which is a good thing). I must mention that the customer service, and the attention to the details of our order by the waitress was not the best. However, the delicious food more than made up for the lack of proper service that we received. They also serve natural juices that don’t have additional sugar in it. I love 100% natural juices, so this was a plus for me.

Midtown Coffee Bar
I made the wonderful decision to stop at Midtown Coffee Bar in San Pedro and try one of their smoothies. My friend ordered a frappe, and we both fully enjoyed the drinks that we consumed. The ambience of this little coffee bar is very pleasant and they have multiple interesting paintings that you can view and purchase. I love paintings, so that made my visit more pleasant. The worker who prepared our drinks was very friendly.
Pineapple’s Restaurant
I have heard a lot of positive feedback about the food at Pineapple’s Restaurant in San Pedro. Because I love food so much, I had to add this restaurant to my list of places to try. I was not disappointed. I ordered a well prepared and seasoned fish burger, which I fully enjoyed eating. The workers were beyond friendly and answered all of the questions I had. They also sell smoothies and different coffee drinks. I was given the option to add protein to my smoothie, which pleasantly surprised me, because most places in Belize typically do not have this option.
LIVE Organic Lounge
Visiting LIVE Organic Lounge was one of the highlights of my trip. The staff has excellent customer service, the building has AC installed, and the ambience was a very pleasant one. I ordered a lemonade that changes color when they add lime to it. Each one of us fully enjoyed the drinks and treats that we ordered. I also loved that they have cool names for the items on their menu.
The Truck Stop
The Truck Stop in San Pedro is definitely worth mentioning. Sadly, I was not able to purchase a variety of things while I was there. However, I will definitely do that the next time I visit San Pedro. The Truck Stop has several trucks inside the compound that each sell different types of food and drinks. Some examples are a pizza truck, an ice-cream truck, an Asian food truck, and an alcoholic beverage truck. I am definitely missing some of the different trucks that they have, because there were several choices to choose from. You can find something for everyone in your group to eat and drink here.
In addition to the large variety of food, they also have many different games in the compound, as well as a lovely deck on top of the sea. You can sit, relax, read a book, or simply hang out with friends. There is also a pool that you can use, and they have movie nights and band nights every week.
Tik Tok Indian Restaurant
I heard great things about the butter chicken that the Tik Tok Indian Restaurant serves. After trying it for myself, I fully understood why I kept hearing positive reviews. The butter chicken had a burst of flavor when it hit my mouth. I will warn though, that it was very spicy. I do not typically eat spicy food, because I can’t handle the heat, however, I forced myself to finish it, despite the spiciness, simply because of how delicious it was.
I must comment on the actual structure of the building, it is very small and not very people friendly. I would recommend that you order the food to-go and eat it at your hotel or at another location that has better ambience.
